Hello,

A question please, about the SPI communication to the ADC34J43 EVM:

I wish to configure the ADC from an external FPGA, assembled on a different board. I saw that there is a jumper for SPI selection (JP8) on the ADC34J43 EVM.

If I choose to configure the ADC externally (through the FMC connector), do the SPI signals go straight through the CPLD to the ADC? Does the CPLD has any affect on the SPI signals in this case?

Hi Kfir,

The jumper JP8 will determine which SPI source (USB or FMC) is being used to communicate with the ADC and LMK. By defaut, the jumper is in USB configuration (2-3). Change this jumper to FMC (1-2), and the CPLD will route SPI from the FMC to the ADC and LMK.
