ADS4249: Turn off one of the channels

Hello,

A customer of mine is looking into the use of the ADS4249. For certain applications they want to be able to turn off one of the channels of the device. How is this possible?

What would be the typical power consumption of this single channel operation?

JuMar,

The only thing you can do is disable the output buffer to the unused channel. To do this, write a 0x01 to address 0x41 for CHB and 0x02 to the same address for CHA. This will save you about 10mA of power.
