DAC5652A: Question about IOUTFS

Hello,

Our customer use the DAC5652A.

The customer want to output zero temporary. (IOUTFS=0)

They are considering two ways.

First, they use an external reference and apply 0V to Vref.

Second, they disconnect the RSET .

Are these ways effective?

Hi Naoki-san,

Yes, disconnecting the RSET should work. The customer can also try to put the DAC in sleep mode and turnoff the clock signal to DAC and also turn off the data going into the DAC.

I don't think applying 0V to Vref input is a good option.
