DAC8574: Power pins on device

Hello,

I have a question regarding the two Vdd pins on the device. I haven't been able to find any information on the two pins.

I would like to know if I can run the Vdd pin at +5.0VDC while running the IOVdd pin at +3.3VDC? Is that permissible?

Hi Thierry,

Vdd is the analog supply and IOVdd is the digital supply. If you look at the table on page 3 both are specified from 2.7V to 5.5V. It should be fine to use 3.3V for IOVdd and 5V for Vdd. The logic levels are based on IOVdd as shown in the electrical characteristics table.
