AFE4405EVM: The eval board stopped working. Software issue

I cannot get my AFE4405EVM GUI to work any more. It worked before but now the GUI exe cannot get connected to the board. I get an error message "An error occurred while communication with the device". The state of the program is "Update Interface at Init" when the error pops up.

I have tried to re install the software but it does not help. The issue started after I installed another software (TDC1000-TDC7200EVM software), that still works.

I have also tested to run the AFE4405 eval board on my colleagues computer and that works fine. Thus, no issue with the hardware

Anyway, the USB driver looks good when the board is connected and I can update the FW using the exe (BSL_USB_GUI.exe).

I have LabVIEW (64-bit 2017) installed on my computer. VISA version 17

I use Win7, 64 bit.

What to do?

Hi Mats,

Does the EVM gets detected properly by the PC?
Can you please share the screenshot of your device manager with the EVM connected?

Hi Prabin, yes it seem so. As written before, I can upload a new firmware to the EVM via the exe-program without GUI.

Hi Mats,

Can you please change the assigned port number (i.e. COM13) to higher number ( > 30) and give it a try?

You may close this thread. I tried another eval board and that works fine. Thus, no SW issue on my computer. Something is fishy with one of the evaluation boards that I ordered.
