ADS8350: VOL with external pull-up

Hello,

I have a question for ADS8350 VOL specification.

Now I have to add external pull-up on SDO-x line for some reason.

Then I want to understand acceptable pull-up resister value range.

The datasheet defines VOL MAX as 0.2 DVDD where the condition is I_OH=500uA sink.

Assumed DVDD=3.3V, it means that over 6.6Kohm is acceptable for less than 0.2 DVDD VOL.

On the other hand, Input current of Absolute max is defined as +-10mA in the datasheet.

It means 330ohm for DVDD=3.3V.

From these two definition, for DVDD=3.3V case,

1. Over 6.6Kohm                     : TI guarantees that VOL=0.2DVDD.

2. From 330ohm to 6.6Kohm  :  The user can use it, the device will not have any reliability issue. But not sure for VOL value, it's user's risk.

3.  Less than 330 ohm            :  Over abs max, it could be broken and have a reliability issue.

Is this my understanding correct?

Regards,

Oba
