ADC088S022: 1 read lag when switching channel

Hi,

I use the ADC088S022 converter and when i change the channel i want to read from i first get the previous channel value

and only then (on the next read) the value from the desired channel.

are you aware of such behavior?

    Hello,
    the behavior you are seeing is correct, this is a multiplexed device, which means the MUX must first be programmed, only after that can the channel be sampled. thus:
    In frame n, you enter the address of the channel you want sampled, say channel 4.
    Then in frame n+1, you will see results for channel 4. During frame n+1 you can also program to sample another channel, say channel 6.
    You will see the results of channel 6 in the following frame.
