TLC7524: Bipolar Operation Mode & Reading the output

Hello!

I am using the TLC7524 to generate a sine wave for my senior project. I have been having issues getting bipolar mode operating. I am using a Vref of 2.5V and the output amplifier is a LM358 dual operational amplifier. Also which output do I connect to the oscilloscope because some people look at the output on both pins and other just reference the final output and ground.

    Can you please share a schematic for your design?

    You may make measurements anywhere you would like. The output of the first amplifier connected to OUT1 and OUT2 should be a negative voltage spanning from 0V to -2.5V. Depending on your gain settings for the second stage you'll see your bipolar output there.

    While you're making these measurements, I would also verify the reference voltage.

    Yes I was. I found that I didn't need bipolar operation for my system, but now I'm in a small pickle because my output is not coming out as I would like. I am trying to create a sine wave from 0-5 V and it is coming out, but the sinusoid is lopsided. The upper half stays up longer than the lower half. I am thinking of adding a capacitor to the end of my opamp output to ground to see if maybe it is a DC issue

    I guess let us know the outcome of your upcoming tests. Once again, though, if we are to provide any deeper support it will be helpful to see the schematic and a capture of the actual output behavior.
