ADS1243-HT: ADS1243-HT vs ADS1278-HT

Hi There

I've provisionally selected the ADS1278-HT for my high temperature downhole drilling application, but on closer inspection the gain and offset errors are possible causes of concern (other question has been posted on this)

So i'm thinking of looking at the ADS1243-HT again for low errors and self calibration features as this seems to have lower errors, the two immediate issues are:

1) Your website page for the ADS1243-HT lists the ADS1278-HT as a recommended alternative. Does this mean TI doesn't recommend the 1273? and why (end of life, other reasons etc)

2) in the 1243 datasheet i struggled to really understand the maximum sample rate - i think its 15Hz or less? (my application needs to sample all 8 channels at 400Hz) - could you confirm the maximum sample rate

3) are there any other high temp ADC with self calibration and can sample at 400sps (but i would like the option to go to 10ksps)

    [CY] ADS1273 does not exist at TI. Did you mean ADS1243-HT? Because the website recommends possible alternative parts does not mean the device for which you searched is not recommended. This is just a marketing tool to advertise other similar devices.

    [CY] fdata is the sample rate which is 15Hz max for the ADS1243-HT. So based on your requirements, this is not a viable solution.

    [CY] The only other -HT ADC is the ADS1282-SP but it is 2 channels that are mux'd and you mention 8 channels.
