ADS9224REVM-PDK: Understanding the ADS9224REVM-PDK display

Part Number: ADS9224REVM-PDK

Hi,

I am not quite sure how to interperate the ADS9224REVM-PDK spectrum output?

how come with both inputs tied to ground we get -10dbC noise floor but with a signal generator connected and one input tied to ground via a 100nF cap we get -120dbC noise floor? I tried various ways of connection but it seem the best way. Is the display adjusting the noise floor? IS there some calculations happening that cause the noise floor to go down as you inject signal into the board? I am nto familar with something that operates like this, normally you can measure the noise floor and inject a signal to measure it but it seems not to be the case with the ADS9224REVM-PDK
