ADS8350EVM-PDK: ADS8350EVM-PDK software problem

Hello TI,

I'm try to use the Software for the ADS8350EVM-PDK .
I have installed the software to a Win7 PC and also to a Win10 PC .I downloaded the Software from website of this kit => sbac130a.

The installation was successful. But when tyring to run this software, it doesn't work at all (See picture below).
It doesn't proceed anymore from the below figure. What can I do?

    I will give this a try tomorrow on a Windows 7 PC and see if I can reproduce the issue.

    Were you able to point the device to the correct drivers? How does the EVM enumerate in Device Manager?

    Thank you for the quick response.

    The following pictures show the driver software and a screenshot of the device manager.

    The ADS8350EVM-PDK  is in the device manager in the category  "portable devices ."

    Is that right?

    Thank you for the additional information.

    I was able to install the software on my Windows 7 PC without any issues. Can you clarify for me that you see the same issue on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines?

    I don't have the hardware in front of me at the moment, but the GUI is able to launch without hardware connected. Can you try this without hardware and see if you can manage to reach this screen?

    I have the same problem with both windows versions. I can install the software, but I can't reach your screen, the GUI won't load.

    I tried it with and without the hardware connected to the PC.

    Can you send me your softwareversion from the ADS8350EVM?

    To clarify: I plugged the hardware (ADS8350EVM-PDK) into the computer (Windows7 and 10), tried to install the software that was on the board and  got a "fatal error" message saying the folder couldn't be found and therefore installation couldn't be completed. That's why I then downloaded the software from the website(www.ti.com/.../ADS8350EVM-PDK), installed it and am now facing the  problems mentioned above (GUI won't load, both with and without hardware connected to the PC).

    I am using the same version as what is listed today on the ADS8350EVM-PDK product folder (Rev A, October 14, 2014).

    I'm really not sure what else could be the problem. I see that Sandeep responded to the related thread that you found. I will reach out to him directly to see if he was able to find a root cause.

    Can you confirm whether you an Administrator on either of those PCs? I don't know whether that would help, but it's worth a shot.

    So far, we do not have a conclusive reason for this issue. Sandeep is still looking into it.

    I'll continue to monitor this and post any updates accordingly.

    It looks like we finally have a workaround for this issue. Please follow the steps below and let me know the result. 

    1. Take a baselined (clean) Win10 PC
    2. Install the ADS8350 GUI and the LabView Runtime
    3. Ensure that the signed SDCC driver is installed.
    4. Download this .ZIP folder from the NI Math Kernel 2010.
    5. The GUI may still not invoke on a very small number of PCs due to an additional dependency on the .Net Framework. Typically a few versions are available on any given PC.
    6. If .Net v2.0.50727 is not available, the GUI can be coerced to pick the latest one by adding the attached config file in the same folder as the exe (/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/73/1425_2E00_ADS8350-EVM_2E00_exe_2E00_config)
    7. The GUI will now invoke and work correctly.
