ADS8671: What is the output data register Address

Hi TI Team,

Thanks for your continuous supporting for my queries.

I am using ADS8671 and ADS8900B in my design.

How can I read the converted data equivalent to the analog signal to be converted? What is the address of output data register? I didn't find such information in datasheet. The datasheet says about the register map and configuration registers and its command but I am confusing about read conversion data.

Please help me to understand how to read the data.

Page No 42 of datasheet ADS8671 speaks about output data word but I am not clear with this.

By Pulling CS# low is enough to read after configuring the registers as per my application?

Hello Venkatesh,

Section 7.5.3 of the datasheet provides the details. As long as the previous frame has NOT requested a read function, or the DATA_VAL[2:0] bits in DATAOUT_CTL_REG register are NOT set to 1xxb , then the output of the current frame will be the most recent conversion result. For example, if the SDI pin was held low during the entire previous Frame, this would be interpreted as a NOP command, or no operation. The current frame will default to the conversion result.
