DAC8742H: Does DAC8742H has passed the physical layer test of hart foundation

Part Number: DAC8742H
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC8740H

Hi all

  1. Now our customer use HART comunication  for there pressure transmitter product,we recommend DAC8742H to our customer, but customer want to konw this part has passed the physical layer test of hart ?foundation

  • Hi keiven,

The HART physical layer test is a system level test of the end product (transmitter, analog input module, etc). Of course, the DAC874xH was designed to meet the HART physical layer standard, but it is not an IC level test.

We have a transmitter reference design that uses DAC8740H which has been physical layer tested and registered as HART compliant. The design guide provides details about the physical layer testing process and design tips for ensuring compliance.
