ADS1299-6: Channel1;3;5 are bad if I sample with higher as 500Hz.

Part Number: ADS1299-6
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1299

Hi

I have a problem what i did not yet solve.

If  I sample with 500hz all the 6 channel are perfect.

When I sample with 2000Hz then Channel1;3;5 are bad. There read 4 times the same (like as if there are set to  500hz sampling ) but thats not posible.

but if I read just Ch1, Ch2, Ch3  this 3 channels are ok.

I tried a lot but always this problem.

I asked this in Aug. 2018 but I can not jet solve it. Maybe there is new ideas?

  • Welcome back Stefan!

Are the issues the same or have they changed?
Hardware wise, has anything changed on the design?
Were you able to re-write your code?
  • Hi Alex

In the meantime, I have put the remaining hardware in operation and written the rest of the software. How nice the ADS1299 works together with a small oled you can see here with the link. Also, the data from the ADS1299 can very easily writen to a microsd card and watch the signals on the PC afterwards. Also, the hard and software is stable working for more than 8 hours, without problems. But what exactly causes me problems with the 3 channels, I do not know yet.

    regards
    Stefan

Hardware wise, has anything changed on the design? / no but soon I start produce the next small serie
Were you able to re-write your code? I add some code
  • Hi Stefan,

That's really neat! I'm happy to see that the oled is working well.

Unfortunately, the conclusion we came to on your last thread remains the same. I don't have any additional advice outside of re-writing your code. The symptoms and setup have not changed, so the root cause most likely remains the same.
  • Hi Alex

I've changed and checked my code many times already. But I suspect the problems do not come from reading the bit but from configuring and starting the ADS1299. I suspect I'm doing something wrong. I also found an info about it. Now I have the possibility to adjust the hardware or change.
