ADC08D1520QML-SP: Ferrite choke for 1V9

Part Number: ADC08D1520QML-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC08D1520

ADC08D1520 datasheet states

"The VA and VDR supply pins should be isolated from each other to prevent any digital noise from being coupled into the analog portions of the ADC. A ferrite choke, such as the JW Miller FB20009-3B, is recommended between these supply lines when a common source is used for them."

However in EVM design schematic, ADC0xD1520RB Reference Board, the 1V9AC and 1V9DR are not isolated form each other are both connected to 1V9A

Please advise if the ferrite is required.

Thanks

Tim

  • We found that the ferrite wasn’t necessary and implemented that approach when modifying the reference designs. I have noted that this update to the datasheet is required so the changes are implemented on the next datasheet revision.

    Thanks
