DAC8560: What is the static offset of DAC8560

I was trying to calculate the Total unadjusted error of the DAC 8560. But there is no offset error to be found in the datasheet. Can you give me more information about the TUE or the offset error of the device?

I claculated it with the the zero code error as offset error. Is this correct?

    I understand the confusion. Unfortunately naming conventions for specifications from one device to the next or one manufacturer to the next aren't always consistent.

    For this situation the key is looking at the test conditions for the specification. The DAC8560 datasheet test conditions indicate that this was specified by a line of best-fit from code 485 to 64714, which indicates that this specification is across the linear region of operation for the DAC output buffer, which means that the Zero-code error specification for this device is equivalent to what we conventionally would call Offset error.

    So, using the approach outlined in the blog post you linked using Zero-code error is appropriate.

    first of all thank you for your time. Secondly i have another question referring to your arcticle about the accurancy of a dac i posted. The INL error of the example you used is the differnential nonlinearity of the dac8560?

    The error table is still referencing the INL specification of 4 - 12 LSBs of error - I didn't re-run the calculations but I'm quite sure the calculations used those values as well.

    Where did you see a signature of the use of DNL in the post?
