AFE7225EVM: AFE7225 - Evaluation GUI seems to send out wrong values for certain RX Sync Registers

Part Number: AFE7225EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE7225

I'm currently using the AFE7225 EVM with the evaluation GUI software (version 1.3) and I am noticing that on some of the RX Sync settings (under the Sync tab), the software seems to either be sending the data to the wrong register and/or setting the wrong bit in the appropriate register. I have confirmed this with scope shots of the decoded SPI data to verify what the software tool is sending.

Two examples I have found (Both under the Sync tab):

The RX_Global_SER_IF_SYNC checkbox seems to be sending '0x02' to address '0x16A' when it is checked, but according to the datasheet (3/2012 revision; page 36-37), it should be setting Bit<4> but seems to be setting Bit<2> instead (the correct value would seem to be '0x10')

The RX_Global_SYNC_SRC checkbox seems to be sending '0x02' to address '0x16B' when it is checked, but according to the datasheet (same revision, page 36), it should be setting Bit<4> of address '0x169' (resulting in '0x10' being sent to address '0x169') but that does not seem to be what it is doing.

I've have also 'read back all the values' and checked them and they confirm that things are seemingly setup wrong.

I've attached screen shots of both the decoded scope caps (and the GUI checkboxes in question) for verification.

Can someone please look into and confirm or disprove what I am seeing.

Thanks in advance,

Chris Laatsch
