AFE5801: Data OFFSET Problem

Part Number: AFE5801

Hello!

I am using AFE5801 to sample a sin signal. The sample rate in 40MSPS, and the input signal is 1MHz. The input circuit is shown in picture and two R(25.5) are not connect.  I config the register to work in 2s complement mode. Why does the signal I sample not swing around 0 but have an offset value. How can I solve the problem?

Waiting for your reply!

Thanks

  • Thanks for using the AFE! in the configuration, you use the AC coupling. That is totally fine.

the input is typically +/-1V, or 2Vpp. after code decoding, 0 refers to -1V and 4095 refers to +1V.

since this is a amplifier, there will be some offset. hope it explains your questions.

    Thanks!
