LM98555: Driver Ground pin of LM98555 connected to Vref to generate driver of +5V to +1V / +2V

Dear All,

For One of the application I want to use this IC to generate signal between +3.3V and Ground to converted to +1V to 5V or +2V to 5V.

So question is Will this IC generate this wave form of +5V to +1V by connecting it to +1V/+2V at GNDO pin of driver?

Hi Abhishek,

The main purpose of separate in/out grounds is for long cable ground loops. The input signal will be referred to the input ground and the output to the output ground regardless of the voltage difference between the input ground and output ground. The issue is how the input and output power supplies are isolated in the system. Without power supply isolation the +1V(or +2V) connected to the output GND will have a pass to the input GND.
