ADS1675REF: How manage to use the driver if it is 7 years old and does NOT work on Windows 10?

Part Number: ADS1675REF

How manage to use the driver if it is 7 years old and does NOT work on Windows 10?

I tried disabling driver signature verification but still get the popup that says

ADCPro does not support my Windows version when I try to install the plugin/driver for

this specific TI board.

Any suggestions?

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

We have not tested this evaluation board in Windows 10.  It does install and work correctly on WINXP and WIN7.

In order to get it to work on WIN10, you will need to download and install the latest drivers directly from Opal Kelly for the XEM3010.

https://pins.opalkelly.com/downloads - register and sign in

You will need to register for an account, and to get access to the driver, you will need to reference the ADS1675REF board and purchase order number (either from the TI store or from the distributor you originally purchased from).  Once you are granted access to the files, please download and install the below file.

  • Thanks for the reply.  When you say it works with Windows 7, do you mean you got ADCPro to recognize the ADS1675REF after installing the associated driver?

What does the provide beyond what the generic Opal Kelly code?  I was able to get Opal Kelly's First demo working but they do not support

specific TI boards so don't know the extra special sauce needed beyond their code to support TI.

  • Hi Chris,

ADS1675REF has been tested on Windows 7 platform.  After installing ADCPro, you then need to install ADS1675REF-SW software plugin, located in the 'Order Now' section of the ADS1675REF web page.  The ADS1675REF-SW includes the hardware drivers needed to talk to the XEM3010 Opal Kelly board.  These are the older drivers that are not directly supported in Windows 10.

In order to connect to the ADS1675REF, at a minimum, you need to connect an external 5V bench supply to connector J5 on the main board (the XEM3010 board gets its power from this supply connection).

  • Hi Chris,

I am going to close this thread as I don't think there is anything else to add on this subject.
