ADS62P45: Default Value of the Registers

Part Number: ADS62P45

Hello,

My customer has a question about ADS62P45.

[Q]

Please tell me the default value of the all registers. (address = 0x00 to 0x2F)

Best Regards,

Hiroshi Katsunaga

  • Hiroshi,

After a reset is issued, either hardware or software, everywhere it mentions "DEFAULT" in the register description section of the data sheet (see below), will be the default setting. The example below shows a default setting of 00 for bits D7 and D6. If a register bit is unused, it will always be "0". These values will all be in an unknown state until a reset is issued.

    Regards,

    Jim

D7D6 <CLKOUT STRENGTH> Output clock buffer drive strength control

    01 WEAKER than default drive

    00 DEFAULT drive strength

11 STRONGER than default drive strength (recommended for load capacitances > 5 pF)

10 MAXIMUM drive strength (recommended for load capacitances > 5 pF

  • Hi Jim,

    Thank you for your response.

In the description of the D/S, there are cases where the register bit is used but the default value is not described.

For example, "SERIAL READOUT" (0x00, D0), "LVDS CURRENT" (0x11, D[3:2]) are not described the default value.

There are many more of these.

Therefore I confirmed to you the default value for each address.

It is OK with each address or each bit not listed in D/S.

Could you please check and tell me ?

    Best Regards,

    Hiroshi Katsunaga

  • Hiroshi,

After resetting the device, you can read out all of the registers via SPI. This is will tell you default values since the default register values are set after reset.

    Thanks

  • Hi Yusef,

    Thank you for your response.

    OK, I understood your comment.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
