ADS7138 ALERT signal

Hi team,

Could you give me answers for the following questions?

  • How does ALERT output behave during power up?

    • Since it is open drain as default, it would high-z during power up?

    • If that is the case when does it active?

    • Low active or High active? (pulled low when alert condition met?)

    • Could you give me the timing diagram during power up?

regards,

  • Hello,

As the default, it is an open drain, thus at power up, it will take the state of the pull up resister.

When the alarm is activated, then the Alert pin will go low, thus Low = triggered Alert, High= not triggered

We do not have a power up timing diagram, but the power up time for the device is 5ms, once AVDD is above 2.35V. I would suggest ignoring the state of the pin before this power up time

    Regards

    Cynthia
