BOOSTXL-ADS1219: All software needed to work with MSP432E401Y and BOOSTXL-ADS1219

Part Number: BOOSTXL-ADS1219
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP432E401Y, , UNIFLASH, ADS1219, BOOSTXL-ADS1119

Hi team,

Our customer is looking for the software of BOOSTXL-ADS1219 to support MSP432E401Y and all the software involve to work on this two boards.
Is there any software you can provide aside from the GUI available in the e2e forum I saw below:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/data-converters/f/73/p/751070/2776015#2776015

Our customer is trying to complete step 2.2.3 in the manual link below and load the firmware but he don't have the firmware to load:
www.ti.com/.../sbau316.pdf

Thanks!

Jonathan

  • Hi Jonathan,

The firmware is included in the GUI Composer project.  You will not see this firmware if you are running from the GUI Composer when running the application from dev.ti.com, but it is still there.  The easiest way to download the firmware is to start the GUI Composer application and from the File menu drop down select Program Device.

When using the Uniflash tool things changed somewhat from the documentation.  To find the firmware you will have to follow the path to the download location of the files.  The download location is the PC users name similar to what is shown below:

    C:\Users\UserName\guicomposer\runtime\gcruntime.v7\ADS1219_BoosterPack_GUI\target\ASD1219FW_V1_0_0.txt

We need to update the user's guide, but we have been holding off due to some other changes we have planned for the GUI.  The BOOSTXL-ADS1119 GUI has the information for downloading from the application itself.

    http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau322/sbau322.pdf

The information is in section 2.2.2.1 on page 4.  Unfortunately the information for manually downloading the firmware using Uniflash is incorrect and would need to follow a similar location as described above.

    Best regards,

    Bob B

  • Thanks Bob,

I hope this would help our customer. I already gave all the resources I saw in our website.
Maybe I will let the customer post here if he have other questions or issues in this boards.

    Thanks for this great support!

    Jonathan
