ADS7953: Confirm the drivers compatibility with ADS7844E/2K5

Hi Team,

Our customer wanted to change their ADS7844E/2K5 to a 16-channel variety and found ADS7953 as an option.
They would like to confirm if the drivers of ADS7953 is compatible with ADS7844E/2K5?

Or is there other devices with 16-channel counterpart of ADS7844E/2K5 to make sure that the drivers are still compatible and only the channel variety will be the only changes.

    Hello,

    the input driving op amps needed heavily depend on the sampling rate the ADC is running at.

    If you plan to run the ADS7953 at the same sampling rate the driver was design for the ADS7844, then yes, the driver will be compatible.

    But if the new ADC is being ran at faster sampling rate, then the input driving op amp will need to be revisited.

    What sampling rate is the ADC going to be used at? how many channels will be used? and what op amp is driving the input?
