AFE58JD28: US AFEs

Hi

Going over at the JD versions of the AFEs (example is AFE58JD28) have raised some questions:

1. Regarding the JESD204B interface specifications

1. The terms channels/lanes are not so clearly distinguished for my opinion.
2. What is the maximal data rate per channel ? Is that 5Gbps or is it per lane?
3. I understand that I have to use at least 2 channels and can’t use only one for full AFE data transfer, is that correct?

1. Regarding the LVDS interface specification

1. In 2x mode – What is the maximal output data rate? What is the maximal output bit clock rate?

• What's the big difference between the AFE5828 and AFE 5818? price difference is big but I couldn't find much difference within the specifications.
