TLC7524: Is there a TINA model or schematic or support for this device.

I want to use the TLC7524 to drive a TL052 op amp to generate a 20KHz square wave that ranges from -1v to 8v.

Here is my thought

Per the TLC7524

Vref -9v

Rfb +9v

Vdd 3.3v

Out2 to ground

Out1 is the output of the chip, it goes to input pin on TL052

CS tied to ground

WR controlled by 3.3v logic

D0-D7 driven by more 3.3v logic

TL052 used in non inverting with a 50k trim pot.

I need either a TINA file or a similar schematic as it seems that every time I try something new on a PCB without confirmation, there is trouble.

Hi Doug,

1. VDD must be >5V.

2. 3.3V logic is okay.

Can you share your schematic? The output is a bit hard to imagine.

Is this what you are thinking?

We do not have this model in TINA, but we do have some MDACs that you can use to test. For example, the DAC8820. In those devices "IOUT2" is usually just grounded and called "AGND".

I thought Vdd had to be the same as the logic.

The chip looks like a resistor net with 8 switches.

I now found a GPIO pin for CS and WR. In my case WR2.

I went with Figure 4 using the dual op amp I mentioned.

I am using Vdd at +5v as stated in page 3 of the pdf spec sheet.

Vref = -9v

Is that correct?
