ADS5400: The version '8CCEKITG4' and '49CP4QTG4'

Hello Dear,

May I ask if the different versions of the 'ADS5400IPZP' will influence its performance?

According to the datasheet page 31. 'SYNC’ mode can be turned on by using Micro Controller, normally, this IC will put out 'SYNC', but the version '8CCEKITG4' didn't putout 'SYNC', but the version '49CP4QTG4' is no problem.

I've tested a few pieces of this part with these two different versions on the same board and the same position with the same setting. The result is the same.

Can you please help me?

    I have confirmed from the product engineer that we do apply a sync measurement during production test of this device. So I am looking into what the next step maybe be. We may need to get our quality dept involved if you are seeing issues with a specific lot.

    I apologize for the delay.

    We want to ask the following questions before sending some of the parts with issues back into us for testing.

    1) Has the SPI timing been checked to make sure it is not on the edge? This will eliminate process variation between the two parts, in case the timing is being pushed over the edge.

    2)  Have any other functions between the two parts been tried? Do other functions not work between the two devices?

    3) Any chance there are assembly differences between the two devices? I.e. - some units hand soldered (soldering iron) vs. a reflow machine?
