ADS1194: Lead-off can't be detected with DIFF AMP

Hi,

A differential amplifier was connected before the A / D input to obtain a high-resolution heartbeat signal using the ADS1194.
However, lead-off detection does not work well.
Note:Lead-off can be confirmed without a differential amplifier.
Show my connection information.
Could you give me some advice?

    The internal lead-off detection feature cannot work when an external amplifier is connected to the inputs.

  • Hi Mr. Ryan Andrews Good day Thank you for your reply. Is there any technical problem when using the lead-off detection function of ADS119x to connect the high resolution amplifier input channel to the adjacent channel in parallel and use the lead-off function of the adjacent channel?

    Are you suggesting to use the lead-off current sources of the adjacent channel (i.e. Channel 2) and connect them to the inputs of the INA? I believe this could work. The ECG signal would be measured on Channel 1. Channel 2 could remain powered-down (ADC and PGA) and only used to provide lead-off current sources on IN2P and IN2N.
