ADS7263: Application Configuration in Datasheet

Part Number: ADS7263

Dear all,

I would like to ask questions about Application Configuration in Datasheet.

1.Regarding the figure below in the data sheet, if M0 = 0 and M1 = 1, it is stated in Table 5 of the data sheet that only SDOA is used. At this time, can the SDOB pin be connected anywhere and left floating? Or should I connect to the device as shown in Figure 47?

2.If the input is changed to Eight-Wire from Figure 47, do you think that the input of CHB1x and CHB0 will only be added from the circuit of Figure 47?
Let me know if you need to change anything.

Best Regards,

Y.Ottey

  • Hello Y,

    Thank you for your post.

    1. SDOB can be left floating if unused. When only SDOA is used to output data, SDOB will change to a high-impedance state.

    2. The figure is referring to the 4 communication wires used to interface the ADC with the host controller. I believe you are confusing this with the input connections. Figure 47 is showing one differential input connected to ADC A and another to ADC B. Additional inputs can be applied to CHA1P/N and CHB1P/N without changing the interface connections.

    Best regards,
