DAC43608: (Issue) read back NG after SW_RST

Hi,

Customer have an issue about read back NG after SW_RST.

Sequence is below,

- Assert SW_RST

- Wait time 15ms

- Read DEVICE_ID : confirmed 010100b

- Write 0x00 to PDNn(n=0~7)

- Read  PDNn(n=0~7) 

- Read Result : 0xFF (Readback NG) 

Could you please give me your advice for the reason and improvement method?

    Hi Mukuno,

    Are you saying your output is zero? From your commands, I believe  you are waiting 15ms after SW_RST. By any chance did you verify this time ? probably a scope shot will be enough to look into, can you provide that?

    For a quick check, can you double the wait time after SW_RST (30ms) ?

    Also please check following conditions as well.

    1. After power up, wait for at least 5ms before issuing any commands to DAC (at this time your power supplies to DAC should be stable and well within the operating range of DAC).

    2. Read the PDn register , it should read 0xFF

    3.Issue write command 0x00 to PDn (0--7)

    4. Read PDn back

    If possible can you take scope shots of your i2c frame when you are writing into PDn register?

    Let me know your observations after this.
