DATACONVERTERPRO-SW: Calculate the average of time-domain signals of 1000 captures

Part Number: DATACONVERTERPRO-SW
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE5809

Hello,

I bought TSW1400 and AFE5809, and installed High-speed data converter pro software. I intended to use those to acquire time-domain data of 1000 captures and then calculate the average.

I was wondering if the time-domain signals could be averaged over N captures using HSDC Pro GUI? I only noticed such an operation on FFT data, but I really need the time-domain data of about 1000 captures to be averaged.

Additionally, if the software does not have such an operation mentioned above, is there a matlab script or a labview based program that could be provided to continuously save time-domain data of each capture from HSDC Pro GUI?

Looking forward to your reply and thank you in advance!

Best,

Ray

  • Hello Qirui,

The HSDC Pro GUI does not support the time domain data capture averages.

You can use Matlab scripts to perform this. Please review the automation APIs and documents within the HSDC PRO software for further details.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\HSDCPro Automation DLL

Also, note that the GUI only allows for continuous capture but does not support continuous time-domain data spanning multiple captures.

In other words, there is a break in the time domain data during continuous captures.
