AMC1306M25: How to estimate error and drift

Part Number: AMC1306M25

Hi Experts,

We want to know how to estimate below.

  • Detection error
  • Temperature drift

We are assuming that we can get them by using Gain Error(E_G), Gain Error thermal drift(TCE_G), Offset Error(E_O) and Offset Error thermal drift(TCV_O). We want to know the equation to calculate it.

Regards,

Uchikoshi

  • Hello Uchikoshi-san,

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "Detection error", however I think you're really looking for the specs that you have referenced. These along with the temperature drift specifications can be found in the datasheet.

As for a rough approximation, you may want to take a look at our excel voltage error calculator for isolated amplifiers, located here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/f/14/p/815789/3019110#3019110

However, this will not be a perfect approximation since the performance of the signal chain will ultimately be dependent on what type of digital filter is being used.

This excel file can be unlocked if you want to take a deeper look at the equations or manually enter the specifications for the AMC1306 from the datasheet. Let me know if you need assistance with this.

This post explains where some of the specifications and equations are coming from in the calculator, it may be useful: https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/f/14/p/866096/3222347#3222347
