ADS114S08B: What sampling rate was linearity tested at?

The ADS114S08B datasheet specifies linearity in the electrical characteristics, but I can't find the data rates this was measured at.

Specifically, the DS electrical characteristics subtext says "All Data Rates", and then the "DR" section in the electrical characteristics tables has some data rates listed...are these the data rates used for measuring the electrical characteristics? If not, then what were the rates used?

Customer is asking for this information.

EDIT:

Customer is also wondering if these are the same data rates used for the ADS1148 linearity measurements. Please confirm?

Hi Darren,

The INL will be more of a function of the PGA than the data rate. The actual sampling rate is the modulator sampling frequency which is fclk/16 and is 256kHz when using the internal oscillator of the ADS114S08B for all data rates. The output data rate relates to the output of the digital filter depending on the filter chosen.

I would suggest that the customer look at the datasheet graphs on page 14 Figures 15-17 as they relate to the PGA and INL.

I was asking what the data rates used for measuring the electrical characteristics were.

There is a DR section in the datasheets for ADS114S08B, ADS1148, etc...is this what should be referenced when considering what data rates were used for the device electrical characteristics evaluation?

Hi Darren,

The output data rates of the ADS114S08B are fixed to certain data rates and unlike some other D-S devices you cannot manually fine tune the OSR. And yes, those are the available output data rates listed in the data sheet in Table 5 on page 30 of the ADS114S08B datasheet.
