The GUI failed to identify the ADS112C04 EVM as the picture below:

  • Hi Wayne,

This is most likely due to the software installation and not the driver.  The are two pieces of software that need to be installed.  One is the main application that appears to have installed.  The second are the application files for the ADS112C04EVM.  The software can be found on the ADS112C04EVM landing page on ti.com and the software is download button is under the Order Now section.  The software is called the ADS112C04EVM-DVCPKG.  Download and install this device package and the EVM should be discovered.  Also, the specific software installation instructions are in the EVM user's guide.

    Best regards,

  • Thank you for your support. I could bring up the EVM following your guidance...Wayne Chen

  • Hi Bob, One more question about the GUI. When I clicking the "Collect Data" button, but nothing happening. Am I missing something to install?...Wayne Chen

  • Hi Wayne,

You are not missing any steps, but keep in mind you need to wait over 100 seconds for the data to collect and be displayed as the default register setting is a data rate of 20sps and you are collecting 2048 samples.  If you have pressed the Collect Data button multiple times you may have confused the GUI and firmware and may need to reset the hardware and restart the GUI.

If the EVM is collecting data you should see a green LED on the EVM flash approximately once a second.  This is the indicator that the EVM is collecting data.  If you want to see the data more quickly, then either increase the data rate or reduce the number of samples being collected.

    Best regards,

    Bob B

  • Thank you for your advise, Bob. I can capture data now....Wayne Chen
