DAC7568: DAC7568 Vout larger than AVDD

Part Number: DAC7568

Hi Expert,

Sorry to bother you. I am using DAC7568C, but the problem is I get a 5.8V Vout at DAC output, but my AVDD is only 5V.

I don't know what is the wrong thing in my design, can you help check why the DAC output can go larger than my AVDD? Below is my schematic, use internal reference.

Thank you!

Rachel

  • Hi,

What do you have your DAC output pins connected to? If the output is sinking current from a higher potential, then this is possible.  Are you monitoring the current in the system?

You should also verify that all of the ground nodes in the system are connected to each other.  You can confirm if it is a ground issue by doing a differential measurement between the ground pin (14) and the DAC output.

    Thanks,

    Paul
