ADS114S08EVM: GUI(Delta-Sigma ADC EvaluaTIon Software) is not recognized the register map after I connect ADS114S08EVM for USB

Part Number: ADS114S08EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS114S08, ADS124S08

Hi

At first, sorry for my easy English

When I connect the Delta-Sigma evaluation module with my PC, the device is not recognized  Register Map at the [Device] tab listed as follows:

I found LED(D2) isnt blinking just after connection.

I also reinstall each item, but the problem wasnt improved   (item:Delta-Sigma ADC EvaluaTIon Software, ADS114S08EVM-DVCPKG, usb_dev_bulk)

so I can start any analysis for this module. Please help me.

  • Hi user4705095,

Welcome to the E2E forum!  Unfortunately the picture of the GUI does not show up. E2E does not work well with drag and drop pictures, so it is best to save the picture as a file then use the Insert Media icon to insert the picture.

D2 will only blink after the USB has properly recognized the EVM and after the Collect command has been issued.  The D2 LED will not blink when the EVM is first plugged into the USB.  A couple of possible issues could be happening.  First Administrator rights are required to install the GUI, device package and USB Bulk driver.  Also make sure that the EVM you are using matches the device package you are installing.  The ADS124S08 and the ADS114S08 are nearly the same except the ADS124S08 is a 24-bit ADC and the ADS114S08 is a 16-bit ADC.

Check that the USB driver is installed properly.  These posts may be helpful in making sure the driver is properly installed:

After checking the Device Manager to make sure the driver is installed, try plugging the EVM in first before starting the GUI.  Sometimes the GUI does not recognize the EVM if the GUI is started first and then the EVM is plugged into the USB.

    Best regards,
