ADS42LB49EVM: Using SPI with 2.5 volts

Part Number: ADS42LB49EVM

Hello,

I am planning to configure ADS42LB49EVM with an FPGA, the FPGA IO bank is using 2.5 volts.

Will the serial interface work with 2.5v? I have noticed the ADC can wok with 1.8 and 3.3 cmos levels but I didn't find anyway to switch between the two?

Also, does the eval board has a method to switch between controlling the spi lines via usb or FMC?

Regards,

Mahmoud

  • Yes, the device can work with 2.5V logic if the High/Low logic level meet specs in Table 6.8 of the datasheet.

Yes, the eval board has a contingency to route SPI lines through the FPGA connector.  This requires moving four solder jumpers.  You can check out the design package on the ADS42LB49EVM product page to access the schematics to get the details of the connections.
