ADC16DV160: Input Impedance Value & Sim

Part Number: ADC16DV160

Hi,

I am trying to use ADC16DV160.I am unable to find the Input Impedance value of Vin+/-i and Vin+/-q Pins in the Datasheet, It would be greatly helpful if you could share the input impedance of ADC16DV160 to perform impedance Matching. Also is there any Software Simulation file of ADC16DV160 to test the performance of my impedance matching network.

On page 19-20 of the datasheet (Figure 31), there is a smith chart that gives impedance values for the analog input (10 MHz to 500 MHz).

We do not have a simulation model available for this device.

I am trying to use ADC16DV160 for a input frequency of 900-1200 MHz, Can you Kindly share input impedance value for that frequency range.

Unfortunately, we do not have additional information on the input impedance above 500 MHz.

The Situation is , i am in desperate need to verify my input Circuit to ADC16DV160 to proceed along with building my circuit physically. Can you kindly generate and Provide S1P file @ 900-1200MHz or Please state is there any other Virtual way to verify my Input circuit to ADC16DV160 at my Requirement Frequency of 900 - 1200 MHz.

The data that I was able to collect is for the ADC16DV160EVM. I was able to get the return loss for a single EVM input to the ADC from 9kHz to 4.5GHz. I am attaching a screenshot of the return loss and a .csv file containing the data. RL_CHA_ADC16DV160.zip

Some things to note for your design is that like the datasheet says it is possible to improve the signal integrity by adding a resistive termination at the given input frequency, so make sure to find the best termination for your input frequency range. Also, the shunt capacitor used will be dependent on the input frequency and the impedance of the analog input path, so make sure to optimize its value and hopefully deteriorate the signal as little as possible.
