AMC1035: offset and refernece

Hi Team,

When selection of  AMC1035, I have a few questions want to consult.

 1) 2.5V reference is generated internally, so whether the resolution of ad is 2.5/2 ^ 16, and whether the output reference REFOUT pin can be used? How to use MCE pin?

2) For analog input (ainp-ainn), the input voltage range is - 1 ~ 1V. If the AC signal is detected, does the positive and negative analog input not need to superimpose the bias voltage, or the positive and negative analog quantity can be directly input. Is there an internal offsets?

    Hi Gene,

    For Q1. Generally speaking, with the modulators you look at the input clipping voltage.  In the AMC1035, it is +/-1.25V so yes, the resolution is 2.5V / 2^16.  The REFOUT can support up to 5mA for external use.  The MCE pin is a GP input, as described in the Pin Function table on page 3.  If it is held low, the output is a standard bit-stream.  If puled high it would be a Manchester Encoded bit-stream.

    For Q2, The input is bipolar, as described in table 6.3.  You can apply +/- 1V AC signal directly to the input.
