DAC38J84EVM: DAC38J84 to Xilinx VC707 using JESD204B via FMC

I am working on getting VC707 to talk to the TI DAC38J84 with JESD204 via FMC.  I have JESD IP for the FPGA and both boards have FMC.  

I connected the VC707 directly to DAC38J84 and configured the VC707 with THE JESD204 IP.Then I used the DAC3XJ8X GUI to configure DAC38J84, but I found that the connection between them was not successful.Can DAC38J84 be connected to VC707 directly through the FMC?Do they need other boards as connections between them?
