ADS8355: Difference between ADS8355 and ADS8353?

Part Number: ADS8355
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS8353

is ther difference between ADS8355 and ADS8353?Is there oversampling fucntion inside?

if SDOA and SDOB work together, how MCU support this function,2 SPI or one SPI is needed? Sampling frequency can be 1MHz for both SDO,or should be 1MHz/2?

  • Hello Longfei,

    Thank you for your post.

These two devices are very similar and are pin-for-pin compatible. The AC and DC specifications are very close, but the ADS8355 extends this performance over a wider bandwidth (up to 1 MSPS).

The sampling frequency of the ADS8355 applies to both ADC channels because they are sampling simultaneously. The data from both channels can be read serially with Single SDO Mode or in parallel with Dual SDO Mode. Dual SDO mode allows channel A and channel B data to be read at the same time while using a slower interface clock (SCLK).

    Best regards,
