DAC37J82: DAC37J82

Part Number: DAC37J82

HI,

We using the DAC37J82 in our design, from the DS the analog output  compliance range: min:-0.5V and Max 0.6V.

There is the note :

"

Note that care should be taken not to exceed the compliance voltages at node IOUTP and IOUTN, which would
lead to increased signal distortion.

"

If our signal level  is from 0V to 1V with  (for example LFM type) on each port IOUTP and IOUTN.  I don't see any signal distortion or clipping, why ?

Do you recommend still  to be in the range of  -0.5V  to  0.6V ?

Thanks

Ilia

IOUTP and IOUTN

  • Hi Ilia,

We still recommend that the voltages on the IOUTP and IOUTN pins stays within the compliance range.

The voltage on each pin should not exceed the compliance range, -0.5V to 0.6V. However, with the correct output circuit you can convert that to the 0V to 1V signal that you need.

Are you able to share the schematic of the DAC output?

    Regards,

    David
