ADS58B19: Minimum sampling frequency

Dear all,

We are trying to use the ADS58B19 ADC with a sampling frequency of around 200KHz (We use an external signal generator for this, and we introduce it trhough the CLKIN connector of the Evaluation Board), however, we have seen that with a sampling frequency below 590KHz the ADC is not working correctly. After checking the datasheet we have seen this:

Does then the ADC have a minimum sampling frequency or there is a way to use lower sampling frequencies?

Hi Pablo,

unfortunately, no. The ADC only supports 30MSPS and above. The reason is that there are quite a bit of analog circuitry that are internally ac coupled for optimal performance. Therefore, the low sample rate like 290KSPS cannot be passed through these AC coupled circuitry.
