Which development boards can be used to control DAC61402 under Linux platform?
The recommended EXP432E401Y LaunchPad and the BP-DAC81404EVM seems can only operate in Windows platform.

Hi,
My understanding is that the cloud based software interface found at dev.ti.com does not run on linux, but it might be worth trying, as we are expanding functionality on that.
Otherwise, this is just a launchpad and booster pack, so you can program the launchpad itself on any platform, just our example program will not work. Code Composer Studio supports linux, so you can start development on the platform.
Thanks,
Paul
Hello Paul,
I am still not clear about programing the launchpad.
1) should I connect the EXP432E401Y LaunchPad with the BP-DAC61404EVM?
2) where is the output voltage pins of DAC61402 in BP-DAC61404EVM? I need to connect the voltage output pins to other PCB board, In the datasheet, the output voltage of DAC61402 can change within 0-20V or 0-40V, this is what I need.
Thank you!
Hi,
Even though the user guide is written for Windows platform, you can download the Linux installer from Gallery · Explore the world of TI Cloud Dashboards. Search for BP-DAC81404EVM.
Please see the screenshot below.
Please make sure that you download the Linux run time as well. We didn't test this on Linux platform. Have a try and let me know and I will help you out.

AK
Hello,
Do you know why there always appear "controller is not responding" when trying to connect the device to the software interface?
Hi,
Did you follow the user guide as is? As I said in my earlier post, we didn't test the GUI in Linux platform.
Regards,
AK
Hello,
Yeah, I followed the user guide, sometimes it works well, but at the most time, it can not be connected to the interface.
Hi,
Sorry for this, since we didn't verify the EVM software on Linux platform.
Can be due to the port enumeration in Linux, I am not sure though
