TX7316: Comparison and driver circuit protection

Part Number: TX7316

We are looking at the TX7316 as a pulser/rx-switch for an ultrasonic front-end.
During a market survey we noticed the STHV1600 which is more or less offering the same.
Most likely TI has done "some" market research too and my questions are:

- in what way is the TX7316 better than the STHV1600?
- is there any protection on the pulser so that the "switches" for AVDDP_HV and AVDDN_HV will not be powered on
simultaneously, other than this can not be selected in the pattern? So what is the protection on such
an error?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
Ed
