AFE4490SPO2EVM: AFE4400

Part Number: AFE4490SPO2EVM

Hi team,

My customer would like to know if it is possible to get the data from AFE4490SPO2EVM without using GUI. For example, is it possible to connect the EVM to a arduino board and get the data through the arduino interface?

Because in his project he needs to get a lot of different signals( emg or ecg signals etc.), and to synchronize these signals, So he wants to connect

various modules including AFE4490SPO2EVM to an arduino board.
Regards,
Jenny
  • Hi Jenny,

Yes it is possible to interface the AFE in AFE4490EVM to the Arduino board.

But this will require hardware modifications. Please refer to the EVM user guide (Table 4) for the digital signals that need to be interfaced to the Arduino board.

The resistors mentioned in the table must be de-soldered and the signals closer to the AFE end must be jump wired to the Arduino board assuming they are also of same voltage level of 3.3V. If they are not then you will need a voltage translator.
