ADS1298R: Hardware "pace" detection with the ADS1298R

Dear TI team,

I am using the ADS1298R and the hardware pace detection circuit detailed in TIPD111 circuit.

In the TIPD111 circuit, the latch is reset by a push-button: is the GPIOx input fast enough to be capable of detecting the signal on the output of the window comparator without a latch?

If not, is the ADS1298/R capable of resetting the latch by itself ?

    Thanks for the post.

    For the ADS1298/R device, the GPIOx status is read by reading the GPIOD bits in the GPIO register. The GPIO pin values will also be loaded 2 tCLKs before DRDY go low if they are configured as inputs. It is not feasible for the GPIOx to capture the window comparator's output without the SR-latch due to the duration of the pulse. The ADS1298/R is not capable of resetting the latch by itself. There is no build-in logic in the ADS1298 design to control the SR-latch reset with the GPIOx pin. However, you can use the GPIOx output functionality to control the SR-latch RESET input through software.
