ADS7956: Chanel Resistance of the Mux on the ADS7956 ADCs

Hi Team,

Customer is looking for the max and min of the Mux on the ADS7956 ADCs. According to customer, the datasheet only provide 200 ohms (Figure 62 on page 48).

Also, they want to know if there are other information that exists on the mux behavior of the device. Any information would be highly appreciated.

Hello Maynard,

The typical on-resistance of these switches is 200Ω as shown in the datasheet. There are not guaranteed minimum and maximum specifications for the resistance but based on the process and similar devices we predict a typical 1-sigma distribution of +/-5% with a theoretical worst-case limit at around 4-sigma at +/-20% variation.

Hello,

The total resistance for each channel of the MUX when ON is 200Ω. When the MUX is OFF, the resistance is typically 20MΩ.
