Could I measurement 5 input 3-wire RTD when using a 2:8 MUX+ADS124S08 solution?

    Hi Jimmy,

    In A Basic Guide to RTD Measurements, there is a circuit for connecting multiple 3-wire RTDs.  This particular circuit is only showing 3, 3-wire RTDs but you will notice that each RTD has IDAC current being delivered separately for each RTD using the ADS124S08 internal mux.  You only need one set of IDAC source pins that can be switched to each set of RTDs through an external mux.  This would leave the remaining two sets of IDAC sources that can now be used for RTD inputs allowing for a total of 5, 3-wire RTDs.
