ADS1015: Sequence between VDD and AINx

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to know if there is a sequence between VDD and AINx. In his application the AINx has input before supplying power to VDD. Section 10.1 of the datasheet states that,

"Wait approximately 50 µs after VDD is stabilized before communicating with the device to allow the power-up reset process to complete."

However, it is not clear if he can connect an input signal to AINx before supplying power to VDD.

Hi Danilo,

If you look at the ADS1015 datasheet, section 7.1 (page 6) you will see that the AINx should not exceed VDD by more than 300mV. Ideally, there would be no analog input applied to the device before VDD is established as you run the risk of causing permanent damage to the device.
